National Geography Bee

We are proud to announce that Chadbourne School has registered for the National Geography Bee contest this year.

This program is open to Chadbourne students in Grades 4, 5 and 6 ONLY.

This event is a parent driven event and volunteers are needed for it to be successful.

Kindly, please consider volunteering as well as cheering for your student!


What is the National Geographic Bee?
The contest is designed to spark student interest in geography. Chadbourne students in grades 4, 5, and 6 are ONLY eligible for this challenging test of geographic knowledge.

How to register and volunteer:

We will only allow a maximum of 30 students, and ONLY register your child if they are able to commit to the school preliminary and final dates.

o   Only register your child if they are able to commit to both dates

·         Volunteer: Fill out this form here

o    Need 4 volunteers - 3 scorekeepers, 1 time keeper

Dates to know:

  • School Preliminary Bee:          Thursday, October 12, 2017 at  3 pm
  • School Wide Final Bee:           Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 3 pm
  • State Bee:                                 April 6, 2018
  • National Level:                         May 20–23, 2018 in Washington DC

Preparation:


Parents are responsible to help prepare their child.
